Most discovery calls are promised as strategy sessions but they end up as qualification or sales calls.

Our call is not one of those cases.

We trust that, during our call, there will not be a need for qualification or selling because we are transparent about our services and pricing. All this information is on our website.

This allows you to learn about us and what we do at your own pace and you can book a call when you feel you are ready to take the next step.

The main purpose of the call is that we can both determine if we are a good fit.

Think of this call as a coffee date. Before deciding to get into a long-term committed relationship, we need to meet at least once.

Yes, we’ve learned about each other digitally. But nothing like having a real conversation.

That’s what will happen during this call, a conversation.

How We Conduct This Conversation

To determine if we are a good fit, we need to be able to understand where you are, where you want to go, and how your personal brand fits in that journey.

Part of that is understanding more about the products and services you offer so that we can have a clear picture of how to deliver a positive return on your investment.

Also, we need to learn about your typical customer journey. So that the content we create for you fits into your funnel.

We will learn about all of these elements by asking you questions.

Some of The Questions We Might Ask

Here are some of the typical questions we ask during our discovery calls:

  • Why do you want to build a personal brand?
  • Who is your ideal client?
  • What type of content have you created before?
  • What have you done before to grow your business?
  • What would you like to achieve with your personal branding efforts?

What Do You Get From This Conversation

The call is also an opportunity for you to ask us questions.

Although we do our best to answer the most common questions through our content, it’s possible that you have some questions that we haven’t answered.

This call is the time to ask those questions that haven’t been answered on our website.

Also, in preparation for the call, we do a small personal branding audit. This will allow us to recommend what you can do to improve your online presence, even if we don’t end up working together.

With this pre-call audit and our conversation during the call, we’ll have enough information to recommend what you should do next.

What Are Your Options?

A personal branding agency is not the only path to building a personal brand. There are also personal branding coaches and personal branding consultants that could help you.

We might make a recommendation to go with a coach, or a consultant, to make sure that the next steps you take align with what you want to accomplish and the resources you have available.

If, on the other hand, we find out that we are a good fit. We will then talk about how we can get started working together, what will be the scope of work, and pick the personal branding package that best fits your goals.

This last part will only happen if you ask about it. Again, this is not a sales call. We will not pitch, we will not talk about our services, and we will not talk about pricing.

First, because all that information is available on our website. And second, because we have learned that the best professional relationships happen without any pressure.

You will not be pressured to buy with any type of “only for today” offer at the end of our call. Our prices are exactly the ones published on our website. We do not offer any kind of discounts.

What’s Next After The Fist Call

We understand that you might be in a discovery process, and you might want to check out some of the other options available.

Also, we might make certain suggestions on who you should contact depending on your goals.

For example, we don’t do any kind of PR.

Some people associate building a personal brand with being featured in top publications.

If that is your primary goal, we will likely recommend you go with a PR agency instead of a personal branding agency. Or go with a personal branding agency that offers PR as one of their services.

If we decide to move forward together, we will schedule another call to go deeper into the scope of work of the package you pick and prepare a contract that we can both sign.

Once the second call is done, we will start scheduling our discovery surveys and workshops.

If, after reading this, you are still not sure if you should schedule a call, feel free to go over to our contact page and send us a message with your questions.
